Rodstation Attends the Association of Professional Independent Chimney Sweeps (APICS) General Meeting

Rodstation director Adam Pedersen manned the stand at the annual APICS meeting at the Gables Hotel in South Gloucestershire and said ‘it was fantastic to catch up with existing chimney sweep customers especially after not being able to attend any shows due to COVID over the last few years’.

The APICS meeting was really well attended with lots of interest and sales of our power sweeping equipment and chimney camera equipment. Our popular Flueboss liner powersweeping kit was donated to the APICS raffle.

At each meeting a guest speaker enhances member’s knowledge with a presentation and this year covered a fascinating and thorough talk on the reasons for tar and downdraft in chimneys.

The APICS is a HETAS Approved chimney sweep association that recognises chimney sweeps are independent. Formed in April 2002 the friendly organisation set up to keep sweeps independent and to set standards to which sweeps must reach in order to become a member therefore improving knowledge and safety of chimney sweeps across the UK to give customers a better service and a name they can recognise and trust
